Company Profile
From Our Own Factory, Since 1991
PT INDEX has been in operation since 1991, with its own factory in Sukoharjo, Central Java, Indonesia, covering an area of more than 70,000 sqm. With more than three decades of production experience, we own and operate the facility ourselves, allowing us to oversee every stage of production—from material selection and drying in kiln dryers to assembly, finishing, and final quality inspection.
Most brands rely on third-party suppliers; at PT INDEX, every frame, joint, and finishing touch is crafted directly in our own facilities. This in-house approach allows us to customize, refine, and repeat the process as many times as necessary, with full control over the entire production chain.
This is the part you don’t see in the showroom, but it’s the reason why every PT INDEX product feels just right.

03Materials
Our furniture is constructed using primarily solid mahogany, natural hardwoods, and high-grade veneers, complemented by solid brass hardware and premium beveled glass.
04Construction
Our drawers are always constructed with dovetail joints. For all of our open cabinets, we use a superior tongue-and-groove backing technique made entirely from solid wood.
05Artistry & Craftsmanship
Among our more than 1,000 employees are master craftsmen with a deep understanding of woodworking techniques passed down through generations. Precision machinery helps shape each component, while the carving, chiseling, and finishing touches remain in their hands.
06No Harmful Chemicals
At PT INDEX, quality starts from the materials we use. Every paint, lacquer, and finishing material is carefully selected to meet our standards for durability, consistency, and safety. Through precise application and strict quality control, we ensure every piece delivers a refined finish built to last.
Production Process
Every Stage, Under Our Control
Nine stages we go through to deliver high-quality furniture, from material selection to being ready for export.
01 / 09Material Control
Fully matured mahogany and teak are selected based on their age, diameter, density, and overall condition, then cut and processed at an in-house sawmill and raw material facility.
02 / 09Kiln Drying
Prior to further processing, the wood undergoes kiln drying until it reaches an ideal moisture level of 6–8%.
03 / 09Component Shaping
Each furniture component is cut and formed according to the design, combining high-precision machinery with the skill of experienced craftsmen.
04 / 09Assembly
The formed parts are then joined together into a sturdy, precisely constructed furniture piece.
05 / 09Sanding
The entire furniture surface is carefully smoothed to achieve a neat finish with a pleasant touch.
06 / 09Finishing
A finishing layer is applied to enhance visual appeal while safeguarding the wood against scratches and moisture.
07 / 09Quality Control
Before packaging, every product undergoes rigorous inspection to confirm its quality and details meet established standards.
08 / 09Packaging
To ensure safety throughout long-distance shipping, furniture is wrapped with specially designed protective materials.
09 / 09Export
Once cleared through quality control, products are ready for shipment to export destinations across the globe.

Our Commitment to Sustainability
One Piece of Furniture, One Tree
Since 2005, PT INDEX has planted more than 2,500,000 trees in Java. Not as plantations to be harvested, but to grow into diverse forests that benefit the environment.
Through support for tree nurseries and collaboration with local residents, who help care for the saplings until they mature, as many trees bear fruit and provide other benefits, we are committed to planting at least one tree for every piece of furniture we produce.
